A spark ignited! höfats is rapidly continuing its success story which began in 2015, by winning the Bavarian Founders' Prize 2018 in the start-up category. This is the highest award for founders and entrepreneurs in Bavaria for special and outstanding success in establishing and maintaining companies and sets high standards. The visionary ideas of the Allgäu-based company and their implementation in the 'open-fire' sector convinced the jury.
The fire basket CUBE and the charcoal grill CONE are both simple and fascinating and stage the topic of 'open fire' in pure appeal, highest quality and multifunctional sophistication.
"As designers and engineers in one, we have our very own way of conceiving and developing products. Our products are both chic objects and really good tools. That is our passion and the DNA of höfats,"" say the founders Thomas Kaiser and Christian Wassermann, who have won 26 international design awards in the last three years with this philosophy.
höfats brings fire into your life - and with it conviviality, friendship, shared time and a soothing counter-movement to the fast-paced everyday life.
"Our orientation is far removed from megatrends such as digitalization or electrification; instead, we take care of the parallel movement: We are absolutely convinced that the more we look at the screens of our computers, tablets and smartphones, the more we are drawn outside, the more we are fascinated by the view into the crackling embers of an open fire and the more we are fascinated by the mechanics that can be experienced," say the two creative minds from the Allgäu.
Digitalisation is being used in the right places. "We use the full range of the digital revolution in all areas of the company, such as development, sales, order processing, merchandise management, marketing, etc. - only our products are analogue," the company bosses smile. Which is also proven by the start of höfats GmbH, which could not be more digital: Thomas Kaiser and Christian Wassermann wanted to finance their idea of a unique charcoal grill with crowdfunding.
The response exceeded their expectations, CONE went into production and was awarded the Red Dot Design Award two days before the first delivery. Since then, the passion for fire has been kindled and winning the Bavarian Founder's Prize is the current highlight on the way to the summit, while other exciting new products are already in the starting blocks to consistently expand the range.
