What should I consider before first use?

Before using the flame-grilled salmon board for the first time, soak the untreated beechwood in cold water for about six hours – this prevents major cracks in the wood and ensures even, gentle cooking.


For which fire bowls is the flame-grilled salmon board suitable?

It fits all höfats fire bowls and fire baskets, except the MOON fire basket and the CONE charcoal grill, as well as all fire bowls with a material thickness of up to 3.5 mm – thanks to the universal stainless steel holder.


How do I care for and store the board properly?

After use, you should store the board in a dry, protected place – please do not expose the beechwood permanently to the elements. The stainless steel fish holders can easily be cleaned in the dishwasher.


Can I use the flame-grilled salmon board multiple times?

Yes, the board made of solid beechwood is suitable for multiple grilling sessions. With proper care (soak before each use, store dry) you can use it many times. Should it eventually wear out, we of course also offer a replacement board individually:

Do I need to soak the board before each use?

Yes, before each use the board should be soaked in water for a few hours. This keeps the wood dimensionally stable and ensures optimal cooking results.


How do I position the board at the fire?

The flame-grilled salmon board is simply inserted into the edge of the fire bowl with the stainless steel holder and can be tilted at different angles – allowing you to control how close the fish is cooked to the flame. You can also insert it from both sides into the holder and easily turn it during use to achieve even cooking results.
